For a long time, the cleaning process of our antenna production line has been manually completed. In order to ensure product quality and fast delivery to customers, multiple employees are assigned to clean each order simultaneously. Due to the different structures and processes of each type of antenna, such as FPC antennas, PCB antennas, patch antennas, spring antennas, etc., they are basically embedded and installed in customers' products, which requires very high requirements for the process and cleanliness of the antenna. Therefore, in the cleaning work, we will further divide it into the first, second, or even third cleaning until it passes the final quality inspection before packaging.

The entire process of antenna cleaning involves high costs in terms of labor, efficiency, and losses. This has led us to continuously optimize our production and quality processes, and ultimately decide to purchase two dry ice cleaning machines specifically designed for antenna production. This will greatly improve production quality and efficiency, reduce defect rates, and provide more protection for our customers.

The traditional cleaning process has many shortcomings in the production process of antennas:

  • Water cleaning is prone to leaving water stains, corroding metal coatings, and requiring prolonged drying;
  • Chemical cleaning poses risks of VOC emissions, solvent residue, and non-compliance with RoHS;
  • Ultrasound can easily cause microcracks and damage to fragile media materials;
  • Low manual efficiency, poor consistency, and easy introduction of new pollution.

When the dry ice cleaning machine enters our antenna production line in the form of "-78.5 ℃ ultra-low temperature physical cleaning, zero residue, non-destructive substrate, and online high efficiency", we will provide customers with products with higher cleanliness, yield, efficiency, and environmental protection.

The dry ice cleaning machine we use is an industrial cleaning equipment that uses solid carbon dioxide (dry ice) as a medium and achieves high efficiency, dryness, and environmental protection through supersonic spraying. The core is the triple physical cleaning of "low-temperature embrittlement+high-speed impact+instant sublimation micro explosion", eliminating the previous use of corrosive agents such as alcohol to clean FPC and PCB boards, effectively solving the corrosion of boards and the damage to silk screens.

Cleaning with dry ice can thoroughly remove excess rosin and solder joints left on the antenna, eliminating the problem of short circuits in the antenna circuit. The most important thing is that it directly replaces the tedious manual cleaning work in the production of different antennas, saving labor costs, environmental protection, and effectively reducing the rate of defects generated or left during manual cleaning.

  • Good product rate: a qualitative change from "92%" to "99.5%+", eliminating scratches, pitting, and medium damage, and increasing the first-time pass rate of RF parameters by 4.5% -7.5%, providing higher guarantees for customers' quality requirements;
  • Efficiency improvement: Online cleaning without stopping or disassembling, replacing 3-5 manual workers with 1 person and 1 machine, matching the pace with SMT/assembly lines, saving labor and improving delivery time, and responding to customer delivery requirements faster;
  • Cost optimization: Long term comprehensive costs are lower, with no chemical agents, no wastewater treatment, and no hazardous waste disposal fees, reducing costs and providing customers with better prices;
  • Green compliance: Compliant with RF antenna manufacturing ES
